Jog for Julie

I am not sure if any of you remember but when Rylie Jayne was about one we went on a mad search for childcare. We found one sitter and it was never quite the right fit. Rylie would cry the entire four hours she was there. So we kept looking. After a few months we were given the number of a new girl who had just moved to town. Her name was Julie, she was quite literally a Godsend. From the moment I walked in her door I knew this was where Rylie could go, be loved, and well looked after. Julie and Mike also had little girl named Rylie and had just adopted a little boy from China named Talon, who at the time was completely deaf. My Rylie would have friends to play with too, perfect. Rylie spent the next six months with The Knapps, I never once worried about her and was grateful for the outcome God  had laid before us. After Wyatt was born I was able to stay home but Julie continued to encourage me. She opened the door to her church (now our church), her bible study (now our bible study), her friends (now our friends). I can't thank her enough for the doors she has opened, the community she helped lead us to, the friends we have made simply because of the wonderful soul she is.

In February 2012 Julie was diagnosed with stage 3 Breast Cancer. She is only one year and one day older than me. Over the spring and summer she went through Chemotherapy and had more preventative surgery as suggested by doctors. In December, at her next PET scan, she was diagnosed with stage 4 Bone Cancer Metastasis. For a month she drove to Durango for daily radiation treatments. Then in April she had her fourth PET scan, the cancer has spread again. This time its in three lymph nodes, two spots on the bone and on her right fallopian tube. Her doctors no longer know how to treat her.

Friends Julie needs our help. In Late June she will travel to Switzerland to meet with a team of doctors who offer treatments not yet available here in the States. She needs to raise over $9000 to cover her expenses. On June 8th, my birthday and the day after Julies birthday, we will run for Julie. Will you sponsor Myron and I? Will you help send our friend to Switzerland.
She won't stop fighting.
Lets help her win this battle.
