Wyatt has a special connection with his grandfathers. When he is with either one of them he soaks up every second. He also talks about them constantly when he is not with them. That really amazes me. The fact he remembers so many of the little things they do together. Like Sunday afternoon. Myron was out getting wood so the kids and I took a walk to the park making a pit spot at the lake. Rylie wanted to see the bright red white and blue sail boat. Wyatt, he was looking to hop in Popeye's boat. The boat wasn't there but he did find something Popeye left behind.

Bye Bye bottles...

Last night I did something I don't think I have ever done, I watched Larry King Live. I just have never had the desire but have been truly intrigued with Jenny McCarthy and her son's story. That's right folks I have figured out the crazy/annoying co-host from Singled Out is pretty smart and not so annoying. Maybe she just has a passion for what is best for her child, like the rest of us. But anyway, after watching I became very interested in learning more about the vaccines I am giving Rylie so [ at work with Rylie napping] I got online and somehow began focusing on plastics. I am not quite sure where I drifted off and plan to get back to the vaccines sometime this week but am somewhat floored at what I found about our baby bottles. I know this is a topic we have recently discussed in the blog world and think I have somehow ignored it. However today I ran across this article and was floored. I wont go into to much detail please feel free to read it and come up with your own conclusions, however according to this study our Advent bottles, the ones we use EVERY DAY, the one's Rylie luuhuuves, the one most of you also use/used, showed the highest level of BPA leaching!

Yuck.

I am becoming the overprotective mother. But I want to make sure my child has the healthiest, safest start to her life possible. So we are discontinuing use. We have purchased glass bottles. Recommended by Z. I hope she likes them, I will explain to her one day. For now we will try our darndest to only eat, drink, or anything Plastic #1,2 or 5 if we must use it at all.
My apologizes to those of you who already know this. I should have read harder sooner, sorry you have to read it again!
P.S.
Shanna, I have found that the Nuby is a #5 plastic so it should be safe. good thing since Rylie now owns 4!!

Dear Pappy,
Happy Birthday.
I love you and cant wait to see you again real soon.
Yer fun and I like it when you read to me and feed me peanut butter cake and ice cream and show me how to wash the '32.
Your the best Grandpap ever and I hope you have the best birthday ever!

Rylie
