Carr Day

Saturday we headed to Durango for the annual Hermosa Ski Swap.
We were very successful I am afraid to say. Everyone walked away with something and  more importantly the kids are now fully equipped for the upcoming ski season.
The bonus of the afternoon, however was getting to hang out with my favorite Sister-in-Law and  Niece! (uncle Jon was hunting this weekend)
We have really, really missed them.

Carr Cousins...

Aunt Kate also surprised Wyatt with a belated Birthday cake and present.
It was truly a moment he loved and did not expect!!!

Aunt Kate's special ice-cream cake!

Aunt Kate, Uncle Jon, and Skylar gave Wyatt a very cool Skate Park.
He slept with it he loved it so much!!

We jumped in a big pile of leaves, since we don't have any in our yard!

then off to the park, where we found out Skylar is a Master Slider!!

Durango

So after we finally got back from our 2 week adventure we had a very full week. We celebrated a baby, attended a wedding and had a full week of little ones at the house. Sunday we decided to head off to Durango to visit Jon, Kate, and Skylar and watch the start of the Pro Cycle Challenge.
It was pretty fun to see an actual pro race, even though it was over (for us) pretty quick...

Cadel and George are in there somewhere...
Of Course we loved spending time with Skylar too. She is growing and such a sweetheart!!!
I would say Jon and Kate are doing a mighty fine job with her!

We slept stayed in the camper that night. It was fun to have it but sleeping in town is not quite as quiet as it is out in the woods. With the barking dogs and bears knocking down trash cans we headed home around lunch.

and look at what we arrived too....

Carr visit Part two...

this is all I need to describe Wyatt
 Oh man.
We had another fabulous week with the grandparents. This time in Durango. We were all able to drive over and stay for an extra long weekend with them and we got lots of play time with our sweet cousin Skylar.

We attempted the Truck show one day with Granddad. This was one of Wyatt's first adventures without his sister (who had stayed home with her grandma). He had a hard time coming out of his shell without her but loved it all the same!

He got a hat from the truck show and wore it all weekend.

It is always such a great time with family!!

SO most of you know we woke up to this....

and it wasn't the first morning of the week which this has happened. It was more like the third or fourth....or fifth. Its all very sad in my book seeing as my family is hanging out at the lake and its 80 degrees and sunny there. But I try not to think of that. As the rest of the country is flooded and torn apart by tornado's, we simply have a little snow, in May. We also have lots of firewood to keep us warm. We also get to go to Moab for a mini-vacation in 4 days.... Hallelujah!!! We have much to be thankful for.

So Sunday morning, when we woke up to more snow, we headed to Durango and pretended it was summer and swam all morning long! I didn't get many pictures of Rylie because she was on the big slide with her daddy the whole time! She is our little dare devil where Wyatt is our more cautious one. This was actually the first time that he played without having to have me carry him the whole time.

The only bad part about going is its always so hard to leave....
