Thanksgiving 2015

We spent another wonderful Thanksgiving with our Carr Cousins in Durango this year.
With the kids getting so big they really get excited for this annual feast.

They made their annual "Turkey's"
Potatoes, toothpicks and whatever fun scraps we can fine.

They seem to evolve each year.

Skylark at age 3...almost 4!

Porter was ready for the Packer's Game.

Did a little bike riding before dinner.

The girls dressed as Pilgrims

then put on a show...
We got a little snow the next morning. It was so fun!

and even though we hadn't planned on it.
We came home and put up our tree.

Thanksgiving 2012

I am so lame. This Thanksgiving I took a total of 5 pictures. Its awful I know.
Thankfully Aunt Kate took quite a few, maybe she will send them my way (hint hint)!

We had planned a trip to Moab this year. We had some sweet friends who offered for us to tag along and we thought it would be a blast. So we spent all Wednesday packing and preparing, we were ready to go. Ready to play. Ready to brave the 20 degree temps in the camper.
We  I  then spent late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning sitting with Rylie in the recliner trying to help her stop coughing and sleep. Poor girl could hardly catch her breath. When she finally went down around 3am she slept a solid 4 hours before waking up again. It was then I had to make the executive decision we had to stay home. I almost cried. We all were so looking forward to a little getaway with friends. But we figured camping would not be the best way to heal sweet Rylie. Rest and warmer sleeping conditions would be best. Which did turn out to be the best call because Myron developed a nasty could himself and would have hated to turn down the many mountain bike rides to be had.

Thankfully we spent much of the day resting and then were welcomed to Aunt Kate's parents "new" home. They (literally) just moved to Durango and welcomed us, colds and all. It turned out to be a very relaxing evening with family and for that we are truly thankful.

and here are 4 out of 5 pictures I took....

Wyatt reminds me of Uncle Gray eating Pumpkin Pie at this age!

Coates Visit...

I am having trouble here.
You see when Melissa came she brought her camera with her. Now I want her camera.
{sigh} oh well I guess I might have to save even longer for a new camera now...
My other problem is most of the pictures we took on her visit where on her camera so I am trying to figure out which are OK to post and which not to. In case any are used for Christmas or on her blog. So lets see what I can share here....
bathtime....
This was fun, yet crowded.
As sweet as it looks in this picture, it only happened once, Thankfully.

kid cracks me up

Uncle "Gray-P" was quite the hit.
or maybe it was just his I-pad, who knows?

He was pure sweetness.
Even when he was grunting at 4am, we still loved every second with our Cousin James.

We tried to get outside a little even though it was chilly.

Myron had fun at the park.

These cousins sure did love each other.
I guess we need to start saving for 4 plane tickets to visit them next!

Thanksgiving with the Coates

So most of you know we had Thanksgiving with my sister and her family. I am so thankful they decided to fly their 10 month old 2000 miles to eat lunch with us. It was a very relaxed and yummy time. We have had many more but I will post those later.
We decided on Ham, no turkey.
That's right no Turkey people....

We had our first ever kids table.

Rob came to eat with us too since his family is in PA.
Sadly, we started with out him, I am a horrible host.
Happily, he didn't want any turkey either!

Later we had a little dance action to work off the din-din

Finally we ended with Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving.
We missed you all that weren't here, but are so thankful to have The Coates with us this Holiday! I wonder if we could make it a new tradition?

Thanksgiving 2010

If only you could have seen her, with her purple sparkle grape juice in her new special glass, getting her nails done.
If.Only.You.Could.Have.Seen.Her!

Wyatt was very curious....

I think I could say we had a pretty fabulous Thanksgiving this year.I mean it is always pretty nice but each year seems a little better then the last. It was fun and relaxed and cold. Aunt Kate pulled out her craftiness and entertained Rylie while Wyatt just dipped and dipped and dipped his appetizers. We ate and then attempted a walk to the park in 20 degrees. It actually wasnt so bad and Aunt Kate, well she entertained most of the neighbors with her festive Turkey gear!

Cheers!
Dont worry it just Sparkling Grape Juice.

We love Aunt Kate!!
Friday, seeing as we live where we live, we skipped Black Friday and went straight over to the Rosenbergs for Leftover Friday. It was so nice to relax with friends, once again. So relaxing I have no photo's to show for it, but my belly is still full!
