another ski date with dad
So in a nut-shell that is what has been going on lately. We have been not.so.busy. yet very.busy. We are filling our days with missed play dates and sunshine. We are enjoying each other. And I am pretty sure, that is the main idea for this time.

Its raining here today and rather then do something productive I decided to see how much of a post I could really type.
I only made it that far before I had to get up!.
Figures.
Anyways, We are one kid short at the FunHouse today. The rain has allowed for Noah and his papa some extra special time together. The rest of us were planning a field trip to a horse farm. However, with this rain I think we will be forced to pass. Dad is off somewhere. He has respectably kept his distance during the day time. Can't say I blame him. He is not used to all the noise that comes with a house full of kids. I do think the last time he was in a room with four kids he was one of them. Dad's presence has made me think a lot about my amazing Grandmother's. One raised six children the other four. What strong woman they were and still are today. Great role models for me to remember in my moments of "crazy".
Thank you ladies for all the work you did. Love, love, love you!!!

Dad, I am pretty sure, is meeting his goal of exploring AND relaxing. He has been able to spend a lot of time on the water here, even with the kids a few times.
They get the biggest kick out of their Popeye.
He is EVERYONE's Popeye!
Looks to me like retirement is quite divine.

From our Sunday afternoon hike. We tried to work with everyone and get out in the wilderness. Myron wanted to do the closest "fourteener" but willingly worked with us to take an easier family hike. Dad did great and hung right in there even though it wasn't as flat as I remembered. He was such a trooper and I am glad he was able to see a little of what relaxes us here.

Week One.
I do not know what to do with just one child. Poor Wyatt. Today we took Rylie to school and he came home looking for her. Nothing I could do consoled him. He finally gave up and we cuddled and watched Clifford the Big Red Dog.
This week we started full on FunHouse. Grace came MTW because her Pop-Pa was in town. Plus Noah's mama started school so he started his MTW with us too. Needless to say Wyatt has had plenty to entertain him until today. Our house has been very very busy, but in a most fabulous way. The kids get along great together and are just enjoying some fun time. Wyatt immediately started sharing his trains and trucks with Noah. I think he was ready for a little guy friend. Grace remembered and asked several time Noah's bottle and baby food. It cracks me up she remembers that! But gives him gentle pats on the head beacuse she knows he is a baby. And Noah is just wanting to follow the others around and play play play. He seems pretty happy to be here and that makes me feel great.
Rylie,as you can see from previous posts, started her school year and is having.a.blast. We were both [Rylie and myself] ready for it to start. We have been butting heads the last few weeks and I knew I wasn't stimulating her enough. Plus, she was starting to act like the "almost-two year olds". Don't get me started on the screaming! Although we had a fabulous summer she was just ready to be back with other kids her age. She really missed her friends and comes home at lunch so refreshed. Its good for a mama's heart.

and Rylie said "but the rain came and the party was over"
So today we enjoyed some music in the park. This is so much fun for me seeing as I grew up doing this growing up just outside of Asheville, NC. I want my kids to have fun and enjoy some good ole' dancing in the grass too!! Today was Reggae rather then Bluegrass but fun none the less.
Thanks for being our friends Rosenbergs, Bellina's, and Kain's.....
Wyatt and Noah kickin' it.
That is until the rain came.
And really except for a few soaking cold moments, standing under a tree, holding babies yelling "swing, swing" or "wooooo wain", hoping my camera wasn't ruined, it was still fun. We just played in the back of Uncle Rob's truck until it all calmed down. Sadly, the music did not resume, but oh the memories we now have!
The both found dry shirts. and crackers.... and gummy treats....
she is my bestest girl!
he had to borrow a shirt from Rob...
then he found the treats.... Soaking wet but lovin' each other....

Busy Week....
Noah Bellina.
aint he a cutie.....
Wyatt was the one I was most worried about, but once he say the kid had a paci and was a boy, there was no turning back. He would point and say "babeeeee, pa-eeee" . He also liked to watch him take his bottle.
Gracie was so sweet and gentle with him. He just wanted to hug and kiss him all say long. It was really sweet I must repeat. All three kids were of course fascinated with his bouncy seat. At one point I had to hide it because they were fighting over sitting in it.
Checking his bouncy seat him out on his first morning.
Rylie checking out her old carseat.
Just having some bubble time.
Thank you Easter Bunny
I mean......CUTE!
and of course a video,
I mean I know the Grandma's like 'em.....
