ReCap Post

We are keeping busy here in these parts.
I know Posts are far and few between these days and I do apologize. This blog is also meant for me to keep up with our Memories and time as much as you. But it is tricky with both kids in school, working full time, and running my own business. It just doesn't happen as often as I would like.
So here are some filler images from the last month of so.

The kids found my Photo Booth gear and begged for pictures....

They received a Slack line from The Jon Carr's this Christmas.
With the snow it was too slippery to put up. But a few weekends ago it finally went up.
They love it!

Kindergarten has been a wonderful experience for Mr. Wyatt.
He has just grown leaps and bounds and its so fun to see.
March 31st he had his Kindergarten Carnival and Wyatt was a muscle man and snake charmer.

Tearing phone books!

Lifting weights like its nothing!

WOW! So strong.

Charming the snakes...

We also had a great Easter Sunday with friends after church.
Nothing like another Easter Egg hunt for the books...

Now we are off to Moab for spring Break. My plan is to post again soon afterwards, so fingers crossed that works out!
Please also feel free to check out our pictures here too.
I try to at least Archive them if I cant post.
Password is our last name.

Spring

Well, the children decided 6 am on a Saturday was a good time to get up. So with all this extra time I have this morning I decided to blog before it gets away from me.

We have been up to a lot lately. Lots of bike riding, playing, singing.....

First, we are so proud of Wyatt. He has had a great year at school and grown leaps and bounds since last year. He even got on stage with his class and sang. Big stuff for this guy.

We celebrated Easter with church, egg hunt, more bike rides and even a little swimming.

Its a long one....

So this weekend has been every bit the celebration. Myron was able to travel to Dutch John, Utah with some fellas for fishing, camping, and floating. They will be back tomorrow night and all I have heard is everyone has caught a fish. That is very important.

The kids and I have been home with lots to keep us occupied. Thursday was movie night. The kids and I watched Toy Story 3 and had popcorn. After they went to bed I finally got to watch The Proposal. I am pretty sure its my new favorite movie. Hilarious, how come I have never seen that before. Then, since I cant go to sleep when Myron is out of town anyways, I went ahead and watched another chick flick I rented. Bridesmaid's, another funny one I had yet to see.  Friday we headed to Gracie's house for a little playtime and egg decorating. The kids were completely enthralled with that!

Saturday we went to a baby shower in the morning and a Spring party in the afternoon. I was scared two parties would be a little overwhelming for the kids but they did so great. Did you know the baby shower was for my friend Carissa who moved here  from NC . Her husband grew up with my friend Renee's  husband Landon. I just think its crazy because we didn't discover this until after we had known each other a little while.

Then Sunday we had the added bonus, our friend Allison came to church with us since Jay is fishing with Myron. Dave is also along on the trip so Stewart invited us over to a very sweet mama/kid Easter Brunch. It was such a sweet time together and I am so glad to have spent the afternoon there.

Happy Easter 2012

Lets see here...

as you could tell from the last post, Rylie had another school "performance". Last week was " Week of the Young Child" here in Pagosa. There was lots of fun stuff going on in town including the fair and this show which not only featured Rylie's school but also many other dancers, pianist, and vocalist's through out the town. It was a very sweet time.

Rylie and her friend Payton watching the other performers.

Saturday we headed over to the local Wildlife Refuge for Rylie's friend Cedar's birthday party. We woke up to rain and cool temperatures that morning and weren't really sure how it would work out. But the weather held off just long enough for us to feed the bears, coyotes, porcupine, and mountain lions and head under a shelter for some cupcakes.

Then Sunday of course we celebrated Easter. We celebrated Jesus. Again with a lot of rain and a little snow mixed in, but the kids had a fabulous day none the less. My two favorite quotes for the day...

First from Wyatt. He was having a hard time "not" opening his candy. When I was searching the house for a pair of shoes I busted him opening up a chocolate treat. I told him he needed to wait, he seemed to comply so I went on looking for my boots. Once I found my boots I also found Wyatt coming out of his room with a mouth full of chocolate and a brown face.
"Wyatt, does mom need to put your Easter basket up high because you weren't listening?" I said.
He simply replied, "Yes!"

soooo exciting!

Myrons' old John Deere was sent special from GeGa.

The second quote was from little Miss. After church we were practicing our letters and drawing and I asked her if she remembered why the Cross was important today.
She said " yea mom, because Jesus got unstuck today!"
Sweet girl.
and to quote Sunday: "unstuck indeed"!!!
