Moab, The Short.

Saturday: Wake up early. Load both kids into truck with camper attached and follow Myron in the Jeep for the next 4 + hours. Arrive at vacation home and anxiously await others while watching housekeeper clean. Let the party begin.

Sunday: Happy Mama's Day. Wake time 5am. Watch the Riggsbee's load their sleeping babes into Suburban for an early morning sunrise. Try to unsuccessfully go back to sleep while dad watches kids. Give up. Load cars and head into Arches National Park. Beautiful. Return home and allow men to cook dinner.

Monday: Wake 5:30am. Rent Jeeps and head 4 wheeling to Prichett Arch. Again Bee-utiful. Watch the boys and Aunt Lisser maneuver Jeeps down a tricky spot or two. Watch Gracen and Rylie go on safari to Africa. Go eat at Moab Brewery. Destroy restaurant.

Tuesday: Watch Riggsbee's refinance home. Watch Boys prepare for 30 mile bike ride. Take kids to park in 90 degree weather. Quickly go get smoothies. Walk Main Street. Wait for boys to return from Bike ride, completely exhausted.

Wednesday: Sadly pack up vacation house and go eat lunch with Coates. Go find camping spot. Gorgeous camping spot. Watch Rylie and Gracen play in camper. Become buddy buddy and again go on safari to Africa. Become very dirty or very tan however you would like to think of it. Send Uncle Gray back into town for firewood and beer. Keep the kids up until dark, which is WAY to late).
Thursday: Eat Breakfast at Denny's. Wait for Myron to take a shock off the Jeep with a hammer. Watch the two toddler's, who have had little to no sleep all week, reek havic in our booth. Sadly bid the Riggsbee's good bye. Follow Jeep with two pooped babies and a dirty camper 4plus hours home. Watch Rylie run around the house screaming "look at my house mom, look at my house"

And of course there were hours and hours and hours of fun in the backyard. This place had a yard I would give my left foot to have. It was so perfect. We had so much fun this week and we so miss our friends. To quote Rylie at bed tonight "I want my friends come to my house tomorrow" She then named each one of you individually, along with baby dosh and baby doshes babies. {sigh}

Of course you can see ALL of our 218 pictures here.
Lisser's will be here.
Shanna's will be here.
We took lots of pictures.

June

Shanna: I am sorry. I just knew if I went out of cell phone range this weekend Avery would come. I just knew it! I am so sorry it wasn't true. I really was hoping.

We took a quick camping excursion this weekend. The weather has been in the high 70's during the day so we wanted to take advantage of the blue skies. However the night time mountain air might have taken advantage of us.
It was cold people.
Daytime was glorious. Warm, sunny, clear, just glorious. But once that sun set it was cold. I bundled Rylie up in long johns, fleece jammies, AND a fleece pull over. Plus she slept with me in 2 sleeping bags. I hope she was warm enough. My nose froze! But by 8am we were putting on sunscreen and shorts again. I never understood why people had campers with heaters. "How is that camping", I always thought. Well I guess they all live out here. We love our camper just wish it had a heater for these Colorado nights. Gotta love high altitude.
It was a quick getaway but we were able to see lots of wildflowers, a raging waterfall, and tons of countryside.

We now await the Haynie Grandfolks. I am VERY excited.
Dad will arrive via I-40 sometime Tuesday. Mom will arrive via Mesa Air on Thursday. So fun!

Exhausted, to say the least.

WARNING: Lots of Pictures to follow...

Oh my word I have so much to catch up on. I laughed this morning on my way to work as I recited what I would be blogging about today. I laughed because I thought of Becky and how I would just have to write that I was blogging in my head. So when I did finally get to work and get a few minutes to "check" on everyone I realized I needed much more time. You guys have been busy! What a week of being Internet free can do to a woman!

So, our trip was quite delightful. We arrived and spent our first day or so with Grandma and Grandaddy Carr. The weather was so beautiful the entire time! I just couldn't believe it. We usually experience quite a bit of rain and clouds on these trips. And I must say that Myron was upset to leave our 80 degrees here in Pagosa. But once we found out it was snowing, you heard me snowing, back in Colorado there were no second thoughts. Rylie also got to visit her Great Grandmother Carr. She had loads of fun playing with her necklaces and pillows.

Next stop was Reidsville, NC. Craig and Kristi were married at the beautiful Belmont Estate. We arrived early for the rehearsal and Rylie was able to enjoy some green grass [she never gets to see]. After the Rehearsal we headed to Craig's house were we settled in for the remainder of the festivities. He held the rehearsal dinner in his backyard. It is so pretty. Trying to keep Rylie away from the pool was another story. The mashed potato bar I thought would surly be a hit for miss Rylie. I could not figure out why she wouldn't eat any of it. That was until she stuck her face in it. She thought it was a drink the whole time.

Next was the Big day. It was a fabulous beautiful event, which I failed to get many pictures of. Rylie had a little "accident" right as the ceremony started so we retreated to the car for a bit. She was pretty tired by that point as well. To much fun for one little girl to handle. They had a horse and carriage there and every time the horse would take someone on a ride she would just cry! Oh to be one!

For those of you who don't know the above picture is with The James Bailey. He is how Myron and I met, and apparently how Myron met Craig as well.....

The next day was spent at the house. We had planned on attending the Zoo with the GrandFolks, Great Aunt Jeanne and Aunt Lisser. However after driving home at 11pm the night before we decided to make it a nice day by the pool. And THAT it was. Pictures on Lisser's site. The tough part was waking up at 3:45 the next morning to catch our flight, then do the 4 hour drive from Albuquerque to Pagosa. This may have also contributed to our family bedtime of 7:30.

So basically with having to go to work today after our lovely yet busy 6 days away, you are very lucky to get pictures today! haha

I will try to upload the rest on Picasa this evening.

Phew, guess I should go back to work now.

p.s. Avery come out already!!

Happy Birthday Gracie...

Not much going on here. It rained yesterday. This is big stuff for us out here. It was kind of nice and refreshing, the winds afterwards were not so fun. I guess that is just springtime here. The days have been warm but the nights are still pretty chilly. Rylie has been a little under the weather this week. She has a croupy cough and if full of phlym. For the most part she is acting fine so we went to the park today anyways.

Tuesday is our 20 week ultrasound! Very exciting. I hope everything goes well. This pregnancy has been so different I must admit I am a little nervous. There will be no gender-identification either. We are trying to hold out and wait until the big day. I hope we can do it. Then the next week we are off to North Carolina for a quick weekend adventure. Craig and Kristy are getting hitched it should be exciting. Then mom and dad are coming the next week. My birthday week. Very exciting.
