17 Beacon Court

Since Facebook, this blog has become more of an "archive" of our family. There are still many of you who check it out I know! But Facebook seems to be first choice for follow-up on our day to day lives. Its much less typing on my part, but I do love looking back and really seeing and remembering what we have done. With that said I have felt the need to post on our next step in life.
Upgrading, of sorts.
For 2013 I had/have 3 specific prayers for our family (besides health and safety of course):

1. For Myron to find stability in his job.
Check.
As of mid-January he moved from a Grant-Funded Counselor to The Middle School Counselor.
Its been a big change and more work but he is adjusting well. Personally I think it really is an excellent fit for him.

2. A change for me, work wise that is.
Ultimately I would love for my Photography Business to be financially successful. After all it is already successful in the way of fulfillment.
If not, I would really love to find a new path that would provide me time to continue to focus on that as well as provide more financially for the family. To ease the burden on Myron who has been such a great provider over the last 5 years.
Although I am ever grateful for being able to provide childcare I am simply ready for a change.

3. A bigger house.
Enough said right.
So after much thought, Thursday we officially placed our house on the market. We feel this is a good time and are hoping buyers agree. I am sure it will come to no surprise to you  but I did get a little emotional when the sign actually went in the snow yard. It was kind of like when we sold the Subaru though, just sentimental.
We have had 2 showings but no bites yet. We know it will take some time and are looking forward to this super fun change for our family.

pit stop in our visit...

Here are some pictures from our week so far. We are having fun playing with Aunt "Lith-la", helping Dad build his rock patio, and squirting Reddog with our water gun!

of course, lisser is taking all the pictures. I promise i am trying i just don't have the energy. her's are always much better anyways! I will let you know when she gets them up on her Picasa page. Rylie is really enjoying her time with her Auntie. I think she is going to be really upset when she leaves, guess that means she will have to come back really soon. Its a good thing Mama Kim will be here soon!

New Stuff

****update**** Here is another Crafty husband for yoa. Meet The Rosenberg's. New Owner's of our old couch. Fabulous Friends. Our Pagosa Pregnancy Partner's.

I have been meaning to post these pictures for some time now. I was holding off a little so I didn't seem like such a copy cat.** [I promise I don't go out and do things just 'cause you do. But sometimes I do think about it. Your just that cool.]** Anyways last month when Myron was taking his BIG test in Denver he decided to do a little furniture shopping. At first I was a little weary, but my thoughts took me back to our move to Pagosa. I was sure the cheapest place he could find for us to live was what he would get. I was relieved to learn otherwise. Yes, my sweet husband is quite the penny pincher but he also wants to live clean, and comfy. Thank you , Jesus! So I trusted his choice of new living room furniture. And I am so glad I did. Our old, very comfy, albeit white sofa went to Liz and Rob [who are working on their blog and Carr baby #2's new best friend] and our new couch and love seat entered. Funny thing was it entered the same day as The Mulder's did. Go figure, huh Kate! So I was holding off as to not "steal her thunder", then I simply forgot. Thanks to Grandma Judy and Myron for reminding me: here they are for your viewing pleasure.

And seriously. Drug Busts aside, work must be "real" tough for you huh Brother!

Love ya!
