Not Me Monday: Rylie themed.

So Friday we took Wyatt to his 9 month baby check. After each of his appointments we have a standing date with the Rosenberg ladies in Durango. We lunch, we shop, we go to the park. Well at lunch Friday we hit a kid friendly restaurant and placed our order. During which Rylie told me she had to go to the potty. We went. With Wyatt in tow I was unable to wash her hands properly so we headed back to the table for some hand wipes to finish the job. I then realized I had left my bag in the car and asked Liz if I could borrow one of hers. She obliged and I handed one to Rylie and asked her to "wipe up". I handed Liz back her case and turned back around to check on my girl. I did not turn around to find Rylie with her pants to the ground wiping her bottom., in the middle of the restaurant. Guess I need to be more clear next time.

During our day trip to Durango we also hit up Wal-Mart. I had promised Rylie some Play-Doh, and of course she remembered. So once we arrived home she was ready to play. It entertained her perfectly as I fed Wyatt his dinner. She even found it quite funny to make a hot pink mustache and put it over her paci. Lets just say I did not then spend the next 20 minutes digging out her new pink boogers. A q-tip and nose sucker were not involved.

Once "all" was clear Rylie decided she needed to go poo-poo. "Good Job", I replied as I went to check on her.We flushed and were unsuccessful. It most certainly did not clog the toilet. She is only 2, right!?....... Her dad does not refer to her poop as "Man-Poop".

What a day! However this only takes me back to Wednesday when Rylie was getting dressed. She is in the "I do it allll by myself mom!!!" phase. So there she stood over her outfit starting to dress herself. I turned away only to hear, "oh no! oh no! oh no! I can't stop my pee-pee" . I did not turn to find Rylie, pant less, squatting over her clothes, literally trying to hold her pee-pee in, only to have it gushing through her fingers. I did not laugh out loud at this site.

My sweet girl keeps me in stitches.
Often.

Wyatt's appointment went pretty smooth. We are thrilled with our new pediatrician's office. Love Love Love them. Sweet boy weighed in at 18lbs 3 ozs. Gaining less then a pound in the last three months. And only a little over two in the last five. The doctor says he seems fine and healthy but wants us to add some healthy fats to his diet. She even commented on how tone and strong he was. Takes after his daddy I say. I explained to her his nursing has taken a back seat to the world. He does great when its quiet but if anything else is going on its simply a snacky snack that lasts for 2.5 seconds. He also got two shots and handled it like a champ once again. I discussed his Seperation Axiety. It seems the last few days I cant even go to the bathroom without a major meltdown. She reassured this was normal and showed I was doing my job as a mom. There is no doubt he has formed an attachment. ;) He is continuing to take on the world. He has yet to pull himself up into a standing position but loves to stand and move along the furniture. He just loves to stand. Period. He even tried (unsuccessfully) to walk off some of the furniture a few times. I think this boy is going to have a few more bumps and brusies then his sister. But oh do I love him.

...by the way don't tell my dad Wyatt is driving a pink car and wearing Avery Ana's outfit. He wouldnt be to keen on that (ha!)

Found your blog at MckMama's. Loved your post. I remember those potty training days and not fondly. It was hard for me not to get nuerotic about it because the consequences are so messy. Then one day, after you think it'll never happen, they're done and you can breathe easier.
